NAVEPEGRITIDE (NA ve PEG ri tide) treats reduced or slowed growth rate caused by achondroplasia. It works by promoting bone growth.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

This medication is injected under the skin. You will be taught how to prepare and give it. Take it as directed on the prescription label. Keep taking it unless your care team tells you to stop.
It is important that you put your used needles and syringes in a special sharps container. Do not put them in a trash can. If you do not have a sharps container, call your pharmacist or care team to get one.
This medication comes with INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE. Ask your pharmacist for directions on how to use this medication. Read the information carefully. Talk to your pharmacist or care team if you have questions.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. While it may be prescribed for children as young as 2 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

Visit your care team for regular checks on your progress. Your condition will be monitored carefully while you are receiving this medication.
This medication may affect your coordination, reaction time, or judgment. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Sit up or stand slowly to reduce the risk of dizzy or fainting spells.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can, unless it is more than 2 days late. If it is more than 2 days late, skip that dose. Take your next dose on your normal scheduled day. Do not take double or extra doses.
If you want to change the day of the week you take your medication, make sure there are at least 5 days between doses.

Side effects that you should report to your care team as soon as possible:
-Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
-Low blood pressure—dizziness, feeling faint or lightheaded, blurry vision
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report these to your care team if they continue or are bothersome):
-Nausea
-Pain in the hands, arms, legs, or feet
-Pain, redness, or irritation at injection site
-Vomiting

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Unopened (not in use) vials
-Refrigerator (preferred): Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. Keep this medication in the original packaging until you are ready to take it. Protect from light. Get rid of any unused medication after the expiration date.
-Room temperature: This medication may be stored at room temperature up to 30 degrees C (86 degrees F) for up to 6 months. Keep this medication in the original packaging until you are ready to take it. Protect from light. It can be returned to the refrigerator within the 6 months. Get rid of any unused medication 6 months after first removing it from the refrigerator, or after it expires, whichever is first.
Opened (mixed) vials
-Once mixed, store at room temperature up to 30 degrees C (86 degrees F) for up to 4 hours. Get rid of any unused medication after 4 hours.
To get rid of medications that are no longer needed or have expired:
-Take the medication to a take-back program. Check with your pharmacy or law enforcement to find a location.
-If you cannot return the medication, ask your pharmacist or care team how to get rid of it safely.
