HYDROXYPROPYL CELLULOSE (hye drox ee PROE pil SELL yoo lose) treats discomfort caused by dry eyes. It works by moisturizing and protecting the outer surface of your eyes.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

This medication is only for use in the eye. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Wash your hands before and after use. Make sure that you are using this medication correctly. Ask your care team if you have any questions. Use your medication at regular intervals. Do not use the medication more often than directed. Do not stop using this medication earlier than directed by your care team.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. Special care may be needed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

Interactions are not expected. Do not use any other eye products without talking to your care team.

Tell your care team if your symptoms do not start to get better or get worse. Tell your care team right away if you have any changes in your eyesight.
This medication can make your vision blur. You may find it difficult to see, especially at night. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that requires clear vision until you know how this medication affects you.
If you wear contact lenses, ask your care team when you can wear your lenses again.
This medication may make your eyes more sensitive to light. Wear dark glasses if this medication makes your eyes more sensitive to light.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, use only that dose. Do not use double or extra doses.

Side effects that you should report to your care team as soon as possible:
-Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
-Eye pain
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your care team if they continue or are bothersome):
-Blurry vision
-Eye irritation or itching
-Sensitivity to light

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
