This decreases inflammation of the airways and makes it easier to breathe. It also reduces itching. It can also reduce the body’s response to some food allergens after accidental exposure. Do not use it to treat a sudden asthma attack. Do not use it to treat emergency allergic reactions. Continue to avoid foods you are allergic to. It is a monoclonal antibody.
