Heart Health

Heart health is a wide category that encompasses all conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels.*

Many risk factors are associated with cardiovascular disease, most of which can be managed with proper diet and nutrition. Here are a few wellness tips that may help keep your ticker fit:

  • Get regular physical activity. Studies have shown that just 30 minutes of daily exercise can help reduce high blood pressure.
  • Eat a healthy diet. This includes eating plenty of fruits and vegetables; getting essential fatty acids from nuts, avocados, olive oil, nut butters, and wild cold-water fish; and taking supplements to complement where your diet may be lacking.
  • Don’t smoke. If you smoke, quitting is one of the best things you can do to help your heart.
